On June 22, Campaign for Immigrant Detention Reform (CIDR) and allies, including former WWII Japanese American concentration camp incarcerees, Florin & Sacramento JACL, Amnesty International SAC and the Sacramento Immigration Coalition, spoke up against detention of immigrants. We read a letter from a detainee and heard from a detainee’s family.
Attendees wrote notes to immigrants who are detained at Yuba County Jail and signed postcards to key officials involved in the detention program.
